Launches next-generation suite of cybersecurity solutions powered by Privacy, Protection and Performance

  • Reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-end security solutions to Digital consumers against evolving threat actors
  • ‘Privacy Protection Performance’ is designed to protect consumer devices while securing personal data and protecting digital identities
  •  Backed by patented technologies and industry leading features, the new suite is designed to provide best in class protection against advanced threats

New Delhi, July 13, 2020:  Quick Heal Technologies, one of the leading provider of cybersecurity and data protection solutions for consumers, businesses, and government, has launched its next-generation suite of cybersecurity solutions for digital consumers. Powered by Privacy, Protection, and Performance, the new suite is designed to safeguard consumer devices while securing personal data and protecting digital identities. With this launch, Quick Heal is redefining consumer security in India as it delivers comprehensive solutions in line with consumer demands and ever-evolving digital and threat landscape.

In its Annual Threat Report 2020, Quick Heal has highlighted Indian consumers as the most lucrative target for cybercriminals. It has detected and blocked over 1 billion known and unknown threats targeting Indian consumers in 2019, which accounted to over 2.9 million detections daily. In 2020, researchers at Quick Heal observed a surge in the number of coronavirus-themed attacks - mainly in the form of spams and phishing emails - since the lockdown across the country.

Quick Heal - The Power of Privacy, Protection, and Performance

Privacy – At a time when data breaches and identity frauds are its peak, online trackers enable data miners to tack information about the user’s online behavior and steal personal and financial information which puts user privacy at risk. In its latest suite, Quick Heal has introduced Anti-Tracker solution for safeguarding online privacy by blocking trackers that collect information like web history (search patterns, websites visited and time spent), personal information (age, gender, family members) and finances (investments, bank accounts, credit cards).

Quick Heal is also equipped with Parental Control feature, which gives complete control to parents over their child’s online activities, and further help the parent in establishing good cyber safety habits and etiquette among their kids. Besides this, the Webcam Protection shields webcams against cybercriminals who can hack the device for spying. This feature can block all such spying agents and malicious apps from accessing the webcam and thus ensure safety in the process.

Protection – With a multi-layered threat protection approach, Quick Heal’s cutting-edge and patented anti-ransomware technology is capable of shielding digital devices against the evolving ransomware attacks. Besides, it empowers users to recover their critical data in case of a breach. Another patented technology offered by the brand is signatureless behaviour-based detection which leverages Airtificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to proactively identify and block zero-day malware.

With work from home being the new norm, the Wi-Fi router has become the most important device as it powers connectivity to all the devices like laptops/desktops, mobile devices, Smart TVs and more. If threat actors gain access to this network, it becomes easier for them to compromise all the connected devices. This is where Quick Heal’s advanced Wi-Fi scanner, a new built-in feature comes to the picture. The solution proactively scans the Wi-Fi network, maps devices and identifies potential security loopholes in the network. It empowers users with the detailed insights to fix theese issues and and ensure complete security of their home network.

Apart from this, the brand provides cloud-based email security that prevents spam, phishing, and infected emails, whereas other features such as safe banking and web security, ensure that users remain safe and secure from potential threats and cyber-attacks when online – whether banking, accessing information, or just browsing through the Internet.

Performance – Quick Heal has always been at the forefront of providing solutions that ensure maximum security using minimal resources. While traditional security solutions drastically affect the overall performance of the system mainly in terms of speed, the latest product is lightweight, yet powerful to protect the laptops and desktops from threat actors without affecting its performance levels.

It also employs a smart scan function that accelerates the pace of subsequent scans in the system once the initial scanning process is completed. In doing so, it helps detect browser threats, hidden viruses, outdated applications, and other issues at the same time. This significantly reduces the wait time for scanning the device by minimizing the amount of network traffic. Post scanning, users can skim through each of the reports in a simplified manner without missing any detail.

What’s more? The innovative suite also comes with a Game Booster, a new add-on to the brand’s portfolio, designed to offer users a smooth and seamless gaming experience without causing any interruptions even if other applications are running in the background. This time, the brand has also modified its user interface by simplifying it in terms of looks and functions - thus allowing users to easily navigate and explore other features of the product.

Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director and Chief Technoloy Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited said, “At Quick Heal, we have always strived to be at the forefront of innovation in the cybersecurity space. Over the years, we have evolved ourselves by leveraging the latest tech advances such as AI and ML to deliver the best and cutting-edge security solutions to our users. As consumers adopt more and more digital technologies, it simply makes them vulnerable to threat actors who can easily bank on this opportunity. We understand this scenario well and thus strive to innovate our products and solutions at every step possible Our latest offering is designed in line with this vision and ensures that users remain secured in all aspects while they step into the world of internet brimming with hackers and spying agents.”

Quick Heal’s latest suite is designed keeping in mind the growing number of cyberattacks, consumer behavior, and, the evolution of the digital landscape. These solutions are aimed at providing seamless and uninterrupted digital experiences to consumers as they enter the new world order and patches loopholes against every possible threat to keep it at bay. Most importantly, the new product also focuses on consumer privacy along with the protection and performance of laptops and desktops – something that traditional security solutions still don’t include in their kitty.

Fino Payments Bank selects Seqrite mSuite to power its Workforce Mobility

Leverages Seqrite mSuite to empower its mobile workforce to access enterprise data and applications on the go while enabling IT teams to securely manage and control the devices

Mumbai, February 17, 2020: Seqrite, a specialist provider of endpoint security, network security, enterprise mobility management and data protection solutions, has today announced that Fino Payments Banks has selected Seqrite mSuite to securely manage its workforce mobility requirements. The deployment is aimed at empowering Fino’s workforce to access enterprise data and applications on the go while enabling the organization to securely manage and control the devices remotely.

Fino Payments Bank comes from an institution that has served the country’s banking needs for over a decade. It’s the first payments bank to go live with 410 branches and more than 25,000 banking points on day one and the only entity in its space that has experience in providing technology-enabled banking services in unbanked and underbanked areas. As part of its business model, a large number of Fino’s workforce functions remotely, accessing enterprise data and applications on the move. This made it challenging for Fino’s IT team to keep track of their devices.

Fino Payments Bank selected Seqrite mSuite after rigorously evaluating multiple products. The Seqrite product was chosen on the back of its ability to provide a centralized view of the devices and the ease of pushing applications on a real-time basis. mSuite is powered with a scalable cloud architecture that enables Fino to accommodate more users according to business requirements. The solution’s comprehensive visibility over mobile devices further empowers the bank to identify, track, and control user access to its enterprise network and data while also mapping the productivity of its workforce. In addition, it makes remote scheduling of a security scan possible for the IT team to identify risks and infections with the best-in-class anti-malware capabilities.

Speaking on the deployment, Mathew Chelliah, Deputy Vice President (Technology), Fino Payments Bank, commented, “As an innovator in our field, we constantly strive to expand the depth and quality of our service offerings and delivery. The move to create a connected, mobile workforce was aligned with this mission. Naturally, we also required an equally excellent centralized solution to securely manage, track, and control access for devices connected to Fino’s network. After a rigorous evaluation of multiple products, Seqrite’s mSuite appeared the best fit for our requirements. We are already seeing impressive results since the deployment and are confident that it will help us further optimise operations, bolster productivity, and enhance service delivery while also ensuring that our data, devices, and users remain protected from advanced threats.

Sneha Katkar, Product Manager, Enterprise Mobility Management, Seqrite said “Indian businesses are increasingly tapping dynamic workplace cultures to maximize their organizational efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Fino Payments Bank, with its mobile-led workforce, is one of the leading examples of this phenomenon. Through Seqrite’s Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) portfolio, our aim is to enable Indian enterprises to unlock their maximum potential by optimizing their IT management capabilities. Besides these advantages, Seqrite’s deep threat intelligence and extensive security capabilities also proved to be a decisive factor for Fino's IT team. Moving ahead, we aim to keep supporting Fino Payments Bank in their digital journey and look forward to bolstering our association with them.”

Quick Heal enters into a partnership with Big C Mobiles to increase mobile security adoption in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

The association will enable Big C Mobiles customers to experience the advanced protection of Quick Heal Total Security for Android against a range of sophisticated cybersecurity threats

Hyderabad, December 17, 2019: Quick Heal Technologies, one of the leading providers of IT Security and Data Protection solutions to consumers, businesses and Government, has announced a strategic partnership with Big C Mobiles (South India’s most trusted mobile retail chain). The partnership will enable Quick Heal to tap into Big C’s vast retail presence of over 225+ mobile stores in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and increase the adoption of next-generation mobile security solutions in the region.

Big C Mobiles is the No.1 retail chain for smartphones and mobiles in AP & Telangana. With this partnership, customers in the region will be able to experience and access Quick Heal Total Security for Android, the flagship offering from the most trusted and preferred brand in India. Experts at Big C Mobiles will also educate customers about the various benefits that they stand to avail by securing their mobile devices with this next-generation mobile security solution.

Why mobile security? A brief look at the mobile threat landscape in India

A recent ASSOCHAM-PwC study estimates the Indian smartphone user base to swell to 859 million by 2022 – becoming twice the size it was in 2017. This development will be accompanied by an explosion in the average monthly data consumption per device. The country is also projected to clock the fastest growth in digital payments transaction value, which will reach $135.2 billion by 2023.

Encouraging as they are, these developments are also making Indian mobile users a lucrative target by increasing the attack surface area for cybercriminals. Quick Heal detected and stopped over 3.5 million malware threats targeted at mobile devices in 2018 in the form of Banking Trojans, Spyware, Fake Apps and Mobile Ransomware among others. Having previously highlighted how cybercriminals propagate malware through unverified apps on third-party app stores, Quick Heal has recently flagged several malicious applications on popular app stores designed to steal sensitive user data.

Quick Heal researchers predict the mobile landscape to become more threat-prone in the coming years. The primary cause of this will be the absence of robust mobile security installed on end-user devices and the low awareness about its need. With Quick Heal Total Security for Android, Quick Heal aims to deliver a range of cutting-edge solutions to protect smartphone users against current and emerging cyber threats. The solution comes with a host of robust security features like SafePe, which secures financial transactions on mobiles, Anti-Theft technology, which prevents the device from being misused in case it gets lost or stolen, and Privacy Advisor, Browsing & Phishing Protection, Wi-Fi scan among others.

Kailash Katkar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer – Quick Heal Technologies, said “As mobile emerges as the key driver of digitisation in the country, it has become all the more necessary for smartphone users to protect their devices with leading-edge mobile security solutions. Our partnership with Big C Mobiles falls in line with our mission of enabling robust digital security for all the netizens. This association will ensure that smartphone devices of the digital-first population in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana – where Big C Mobiles is the largest retail mobile chain – are protected against the rapidly-evolving threat vectors.”

Speaking on the association, Mr M. Balu Chowdary, Founder & CMD – Big C Mobiles commented, “It is no secret that Hyderabad is counted amongst the fastest emerging global cities. In fact, there are many other cities in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where the adoption of mobile internet users is increasing at a rapid pace. And what connects everybody across age-groups as well as geographies is smartphone ownership. Our strategic partnership with Quick Heal Technologies, the leading digital security solutions provider in India, only goes to reinforce our joint vision of enabling smartphone users to have a safe and secure digital experience.”

On the back of its strategic partnerships and robust channel network, Quick Heal has established a strong physical presence of over 25,000 partners across the country. The recent development is another step towards achieving its vision of protecting consumers and businesses from malicious threats in the cyberspace through its state-of-the-art offerings.

Quick Heal Technologies Limited receives Patent for its Signatureless Behaviour-based Detection Technology

  • Seqrite, the enterprise arm of Quick Heal technologies, is already leveraging the technology as a part of the cutting-edge GoDeep.AI framework.
  • The patent further underlines Seqrite’s robust enterprise security capabilities that detect known and unknown malware on a real-time basis.

Pune, October 18, 2019: Quick Heal Technologies Limited, one of the leading providers of Information Technology (IT) Security and Data Protection Solutions to Consumers, Businesses, and Government has secured a patent (US20170124327A1) from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for its Signatureless Behaviour-based Detection Technology. The patent empowers Quick Heal’s enterprise arm, ‘Seqrite’ with a unique malware detection technique to identify and block zero-day malware that use code-injection techniques like process hollowing, code-cave attack among others.

As part of the patented technique, Quick Heal Technologies has developed a stable solution to dynamically detect and remediate malware using code-injection at run-time and at the targeted device – with precision and without hampering the user experience. This allows it to address the challenge of sourcing the raw data required for detecting zero-day attacks, since as such data cannot typically be gathered by traditional threat detection methodologies. The technology is already a part of Seqrite’s GoDeep.AI framework, an indigenously-developed AI-based threat hunting engine that proactively identifies and eliminates known and unknown threats in the global threat landscape.

The latest development marks another milestone in the company’s 25-year legacy of constant innovation. Earlier, in the month of June 2019, Quick Heal had received a patent for its indigenously developed Anti-Ransomware Technology for a special technique to detect zero-day ransomware attacks. This technology is also a part of GoDeep.AI and is available to all ‘Seqrite’ products.

How Seqrite is using ‘Behaviour-based Detection Technology’ to strengthen enterprise security?

Growing interconnectivity within a highly dynamic IT infrastructure has increased the attack surface for cybercriminals, who are constantly looking to breach nodes such as endpoints, mobile devices, and networks to gain access to the sensitive and confidential business data. Zero-day malware attacks have emerged as a lucrative medium for them to do so.

Zero-day malware typically target newer vulnerabilities which are yet to be identified or patched. Since their attack signatures and methodologies are unknown, protecting the enterprise network against them becomes extremely challenging. It is here that Seqrite’s innovative Behaviour Based Detection Technology steps into the picture to empower enterprises.

Powered by Artificial Intelligence and Cloud, its ‘Behaviour-based Detection Technology’ leverages signature less detections to block zero-day malware attacks. Leveraging real-time threat intelligence to identify suspicious activity, Behaviour-based detection empowers Seqrite customers to detect and combat known and unknown threats through its signature-less anti-malware system. It is designed to detect and stop zero-day malware trying to compromise enterprise networks and individual users. Furthermore, since the technology is highly memory-efficient with minimum disc footprint, it ensures more robust threat defence without significantly impacting resource utilisation.

Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, Quick Heal Technologies Limited said, “The growing sophistication of the threat landscape means that the threat-risk in the cyberspace is more pronounced than ever before. Threats are evolving rapidly, even as cybercriminals leverage advanced techniques and methodologies to compromise the security profiles of individuals, enterprises, and governments. Behaviour-based Detection Technology is the creation of our commitment, powered by over 25 years of experience of combatting increasingly sophisticated threats in the cybersecurity landscape. Our latest patent underlines how Quick Heal Technologies is building on its technological expertise to support today’s increasingly digital-first business landscape and protect enterprises against new-age threats.”

The patent further consolidates Quick Heal’s leadership position as an innovation-driven cybersecurity provider in the global threat landscape. In addition to a patent for its Anti-Ransomware Technology, its enterprise security arm, Seqrite, was also recognized as a top enterprise security product by the prestigious AV-Test Institute in Germany, winning the Best Performance 2018 award for its Endpoint Security Solution after undergoing intensive testing at regular intervals throughout the year. threats within the cyberspace.

Foursquare Kini Tanpa Fitur “Check In”

Foursquare Kini Tanpa Fitur "Check In"

Crowley berpendapat pengguna Foursquare terlalu asyik  menggunakan fungsi check-in. Padahal masih banyak fungsi menarik lainnya, yakni fitur pencarian.
