Pune, July 31, 2017: Kailash Katkar, Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the leading IT security solutions provider, Quick Heal Technologies received an Honorary Doctorate from Chitkara University in Punjab. The Doctorate was awarded to Kailash Katkar at the hands of Dr. Ashok Chitkara, Chancellor and Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor at the august gathering to celebrate the 12th convocation of Chitkara University.
The Honorary Doctorate of Literature (D.Litt) was awarded to Kailash Katkar for his outstanding contribution to Business, Education and Humanity. He is a first generation entrepreneur who started Quick Heal Technologies from scratch and built a Global IT security solutions empire. His journey is a truly inspiring story of success interwoven with hard work, vision, judgment calls and the ability to spot opportunities.
His brainchild Quick Heal Foundation functions in the areas of community welfare, education and creating awareness around cyber security. The foundation has provided training and guidance on cyber security to more than 8 lakh students. In addition, Quick Heal Academy closely works with Universities, Law Enforcement Agencies and Educational Institutions to engage with students and design programs which will create a strong pool of Cyber Security professionals.
